Njoro Forest Tour
Njoro Forest is located in the outskirts east of Moshi town. It is fed by run-off water from Mt. Kilimanjaro, which is keeping the ground water levels high in this area. The forest is home to a large variety of plants, bushes and trees, including the 200 year old Milicia Exelsa tree (also known as Mvule in Swahili), which stands 51 meters tall. Because of it's amazing vegetation it is also a haven to many animal species inluding the Colobus Monkeys, which you might encounter frolicking in the trees above
Once the forest walk is concluded we will exit in the east, where you will be taking a stroll alongside the rice fields of Moshi. Besides the beautiful landscape you will see local farmers cultivating the fields.
Njoro Forest tour will start in Moshi town around 9am and finish around 2pm. A visit of the Moshi market can be added at your leisure
