Our Mission
Having been to Uhuru Peak together twice, my guide Msechu and I agreed to establish a company that not only implements safe working conditions, but also ensures upward mobility for the amazing porters and crews on Kilimanjaro.

Our company Local Moshi Adventures was officially registered with the Tanzanian Government on November 25th, 2014.

We see our company as a platform to connect travelers to unique and immersive experiences while on Mt. Kilimanjaro, on safari and on cultural tours.
In addition to ensuring the fair and ethical treatment of our mountain crews it is also important for us to ensure that the experiences offered through Local Moshi Adventures are sustainable and benefit the local community while not impacting the environment.

Therefore we became proud members of KPAP (Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project), KRTO (Kilimanjaro Responsible Trekking Organization) as well as IMEC (International Mountain Explorers Connection), and work closely with local guides and community members to design experiences that showcase the beauty of Moshi while supporting the livelihoods of its residents.

We believe in the power of travel to connect people and cultures, as well as in the importance of responsible tourism preserving and supporting communities not only in Tanzania, but around the world.
